You can navigate the tabs below for a more detailed understanding of the in-person visit
- Meet Dr. Masabni: On your first day, you will meet with Dr. Masabni for a comprehensive consultation.
- Penile Ultrasound: You will undergo a penile ultrasound to evaluate the condition of your penile arteries and veins. Dr. Masabni will discuss the results with you.
- If the penile ultrasound confirms arterial disease of the penis: you will undergo stent placement on the second day. This minimally invasive procedure takes about one hour, and you will be discharged a few hours later.
- If the ultrasound confirms venous disease of the penis: you will undergo venous leak treatment on the second day. This minimally invasive procedure takes about one hour, and you will be discharged a few hours later.
- If the ultrasound confirms combined arterial and venous Disease: you will undergo stent placement on the second day. If your erectile response to stent placement is suboptimal after three months, penile venous leak treatment will be scheduled. This combined arterial and venous disease is present in about 20% of patients.
- If the ultrasound shows completely blocked and calcified penile arteries: procedure will be canceled as it would be futile. This occurs in less than 2% of patients. Dr. Masabni will discuss alternative treatment options with you.
You will stay in Stuart for a third day to ensure adequate recovery before traveling. This period allows us to monitor your initial recovery and address any immediate concerns.
